It was a last minute decision to participate at this years West Michigan Chalk Art Festival and I'm glad I did, although I now realize how bad I need to brush up on my chalking skills Practice practice, practice!...it's how all artists continue to grow and develop their abilities!
It was so good seeing our little community of chalk artists in West MI after what has felt like a long lapse in time for all of us...which was a bit of what inspired my piece this year, we were all going a bit crazy during quarantine. Thanks Jake Tobolic for being my reference and inspiration to this piece!
The rain got the best of most of our pieces this year, and I really feel for those artists who were completely washed away after all of their hard work and energy.
